David Beller: David was an American History teacher who taught at Millbrook High School in Raleigh, NC from 2011-2042. His approach to the classroom was significant because he felt that accountability,respect, rigor, hard work and grit was the path students could embark on for academic success. He can be connected to the 1980s, since his mentor, Ed Tyer was a prominent spokesperson for the National Association of Educators during this decade, and Mr. Tyer's work, "The Fundamentals of Pedagogy"  can be seen implemented in the way Mr. Beller approached the skill of teaching. 6.1.III.D
